Can You Help?
50 years ago, this village and many others in North Bucks were facing the threat of a major international airport being built at Cublington. Had this gone ahead, large swathes of countryside and several villages would have been wiped out. Life in North Marston would have been intolerable. A campaign of resistance was mounted known as the Wing Airport Resistance Association (WERA) and involved many people in North Marston. The History Club is mounting an exhibition in June to commemorate the 50thanniversary of this event. Have you any badges, leaflets, maps, placards or memorabilia we could borrow for our display? If so, please use the contact form on this website to let us know.
