North Marston History Club (“The Club”) is a voluntary society established in North Marston (“The Village”) with the following objectives:
- To stimulate an interest in and understanding of the history of North Marston.
- To promote the preservation of aspects of The Village of particular historical significance.
- To maintain a catalogued archive of books, pamphlets, maps, photographs and other memorabilia and artefacts associated with the history of The Village.
- To facilitate the accessibility of local history to children.
- To organise displays and events to broaden general understanding of the history of The Village
- To ensure that buildings and artefacts of important local historical interest or significance are not lost, altered or damaged but are maintained for future generations to appreciate.
- To act as a reference group to provide contextual background or commentary on any planned development in The Village with a bearing on a building or place of local historical interest or significance.
- To promote the creation of pamphlets, books and publications in all media about the history of The Village.
- To associate with other local history groups and village societies.
- To maintain a website unique to The Club.
- To create a Heritage Centre in The Village.
