The Club has amassed a huge volume of archive material which can be searched on your behalf by sending us a request via our “Contact Us” facility. The archive includes over 4,500 photographs, 950 documents, 450 press articles, 150 maps and plans, 50 media articles (magazines etc) 640 pages of “The Schornian Magazine 1870-1904, 900 pages of school logs 1899-1986, the School Attendance Register, Burial Records and a large quantity of local history books and sound recordings.
The History Club has a large reference library of books and other written work relating to North Marston, Bucks or general themes in history. These are available for you to borrow, and they would be especially useful for history homework projects, family history research, as background information for articles or simply to gain a better understanding of various aspects of history.
The books are catalogued and indexed according to one of thirteen topic themes: which makes finding the right book for your subject of interest quite straightforward.
We make a notional charge of 50p per week per book to help towards club funds. We aren’t able to deliver, so this resource is for people who can collect in person.. You can borrow as many as you like at one time.
